Came home from Mexico month early so we would be here for the start that was April 1st did not start till June 1st. Building still not done and it’s September 1st. Oh and by the way I paid 25% six months before construction started and when they finally started materials were still not ordered.

My requested project does not require special engineering. The law firm I contacted to prepresent me failed to call back. I am 80 years old and had shoulder surgery just before I got the estimate. I was on pain medication, and was recently widowed. This is not a reliable business to do any projects with.

I asked to cancel a signed contract to erect a 24'x24' garage in early March. I discovered problems with this contractor soon after and asked to cancel. The estimated time to actually erect it was for August, many months later. They are asking for a large amount from my deposit for engineering costs.

It is clear in our contract that access to the building site is required, and Cleary Building Corp. nor our sub contractors are responsible for damage from access. No other option was provided for access to the building site by the client other than using the driveway entrance. I had a building built by Cleary Building Corp, based in Verona WI; I used their Lake Geneva Office.

After listening to you, taking some measurements and looking a bit closer as you know have some big issues. The best way to fix these issues is not to again patch it more. As we discussed on site some major repairs are going to have to be done. I do not want to again take this roof off for the third time but I feel it is the best solution for the situation. In this case, the client made substantial changes to the contract in June, those items were documented as was the "tentative date to start construction" was moved to July 2021. The materials shipped and the project was started in early August. From that point to conclusion there were delays due to unavailable materials and materials on backorders from suppliers.

I want other potential customers of Cleary to beware. After doing the damage they did not offer any help and just went away. Their salesman stopped communicating and retired.
